Hi everyone

As we head towards the month of June, we step into Summer, so here is hoping that the sun comes out soon!

Summer is connected to fire; we feel the heat of the Sun's rays on our skin and the days are long.   We feel alive, have more energy and can experience transformation.  It is the time of year to get moving and to energize our bodies through cardiovascular exercise, as fire is connected with the heart, circulation and small intestine. 

Summer calls for us to spend our days outdoors gathering with friends and family, to eat alfresco, to have fun and enjoy the company of others.

It is a time to tend our fire and for us to fully blossom like a flower, enjoying expansiveness, embracing change, feeling free and having fun.  It is time to dance, run, play and find your passion, whatever brings you joy.

During summer it is best to eat foods that are cooling and light such as organic fresh fruit and vegetables.

Summer Solstice takes place on 21 June; a time of celebration.  It is the longest day and the shortest night of the year, where the sun reaches its height of power.  It is a time of intensity, renewal and potential.  At this time we honour the light and our connection to the sun and earth, but also we celebrate the light within us, who we are and what we have achieved.
